About The OA Girl

This is posted anonymously to protect my family and friends. This is meant to shed light on mental illness, to help those suffering feel not alone, and for those who don’t suffer, try to help them understand what it’s like from an inside perspective.

I suffer from Bipolar I, Social Anxiety, and a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – Scrupulosity/Religious OCD. I am 40(ish) and have struggled since a traumatic childhood.

I am a wife, mother to an autistic child, Christian woman of faith, a loving, caring person who has moral, mental, and physical struggles. I suffer from autoimmune disease and a neurological disease. I have been beat down, but picked myself up and continue to do so every time I face a new hurtle.
